Do you recruit, manage, or train volunteers? Wanting to target volunteers where they are needed most? Seeking ways to better connect people through service activities which strengthen your community? Love to volunteer?

If you answered "YES" to any of these questions, then attending WCIVC in Macomb on October 27, 2011 will benefit you and your organization. Held at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Macomb, Illinois, the conference runs from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM and includes light morning refreshments, a networking lunch and exhibit hall. Individuals who have attended this conference in the past included:

  • Nonprofit directors
  • Staff and board members
  • Business and community leaders
  • Volunteers in public, private and nonprofit organizations
  • National Service program participants
  • Students interested in the nonprofit/voluntary sector

This will be the fifth annual West Central Illinois Volunteerism Conference (WCIVC). The conference is held to provide capacity-building training opportunities to enhance the skills of volunteer leaders and managers in the public, private, and particularly nonprofit, sectors and to provide professional development workshops for volunteers themselves. We are very pleased with the caliber of our workshops and speakers at WCIVC, and hope you will join us for a day of learning and collaboration.

Please check out the list of partner agencies that have sent representatives to the WCIVC Steering Committee for the planning and continued development of the conference.
